So the unsurprising Instagram word is that the signing is Jansen.
Jansen’s Instagram story shows him training in tfc shorts.
he is a ok player..but he does not add any speed and missed a bunch of sitters.so much for the speedy winger we have been looking for for 2 years.
“I’m hoping these guys are going to be exciting and add something. We had added a young Argentine last season, Lucas Janson just on loan and he was a good player. So It’s going to be a Lucas Janson-type player plus is what we’re looking to do.”
this is a manning quote..whatever that means ?
Janson with pozuelo will be fun.
Janson puts himself about and shows no fear.
Kinda like Endoh last night going up for every single header against guys a full foot taller then him - and winning a few.
Hey, at least Janson actually scored goals when he was here. And he wants to be here. I'm happy to have him back (and we can ditch fucking Boyd).
Janson is still in Argentina according to his instagram.
I guess we'll see but there's enough chatter now saying it's 'confirmed'. Not sure confirmed by who though.
Also not sure why the reaction is somewhat negative. It's a TAM move and those are risky. At least with Janson you know exactly what your getting. A MLS unknown like Menendez could be awesome or he could be Aketxe.
Manning said the other day that they need the TAM signing to hit the ground running. No bedding in period waiting to adjust. That's another nod to Janson, no?
#LoweredExpectations
Yeah plus it was pretty obvious since the winter window closed that we were just going to get the same guys we were supposed to get then but ran out of time and/or got bollocksed by fees. So at least this time they can't be accused of knee jerk reactionary signings. They had a lot of time to look elsewhere.
One thing is that if either of both of these summer TAM signings fail then they can legit be brought up in the Curtis evaluation thread. Now these ones are on him 100%. The rest could go either way between Bez & Manning because we don't know when negotiations or interest started with Boyd.
Long-time TFC transfer rumour target Aquilani has retired. As he has been headed to TFC for every transfer window for what seems like 5+ years, perhaps we should retire his number?
It's got to be Jony.
Go go
Go Jony go, go go
Go Jony go, go go
Go Jony go, go go

No problem. Here's a solution for Independiente at LW....

Saw a rumour on Reddit that a Chinese team has offered a 10 million transfer fee for Jozy.
Seems like nonsense to me.
This from Steve Goff of the Washington Post
As Chinese league's transfer window opens, Jiangsu Suning FC making a transfer offer of ~$10m to @TorontoFC for #usmnt striker @JozyAltidore. Contract would pay him ~$25m for 3 years. Altidore, 29, signed extension with TFC in Feb through '22 season. This year, he'll make $6.3m.
