Lewis Morgan from NY Red Bulls was called up by Scotland.
Gauld was not.
Might seem insignificant but he's eligible for Canadian citizenship next year, I believe.

Yeh, Bez leaving is a big big thing.
He made one big mistake when listening to that ownership group when they wanted a name change - they won't do that again but I suspect sustaining the current approach will be a problem.

No further action from NYFC scuffle, league concludes both teams were partially negligent.
The equivalent of one of my "what you should be focusing on is...." chats. Necessary but at a high performance level that stuff is just there to provide a path if things happen again.
Atlanta seems to be giving up on this season
Coach fired
Selling best striker to Cruz Azul for about the same price they bought him for.
if they had given up on the season they would have kept going with pineda...five straight home losses...a change was needed asap and bocanegra should be fired too
Shaffelburg sitting at 13th in the league for Jersey sales! Not bad!
It seems in the summer window a lot of our main competitors close to us in the table are losing key pieces..
Philly losing one of their best players:

Orlando is apparently about to possibly lose Duncan Macguire too.

Columbus crew losing one of their best:

The league is getting close to the consistent performance levels needed for players to be comparable to second- and first-division clubs in Europe. Not the top five, but just below it.
That means anyone whose young and competent is now fodder for a cheap sale, because MLS transfer values are still 50% or even less those of Europe.
We're going to see a lot more of this. If Kerr suddenly turns into a 15 goal striker (which I don't think has any chance of happening, to be clear) we'd have him for at most one more season.
Former MLSsoccer guy David Gass and Tom Bogert have a new MLS podcast, Soccerwise.

I imagine it's probably on pod providers too. Mixed opinions on both dudes, but it's more MLS content.

I never particularly like rooting for someone’s failure but the level of arrogance and lack of introspection from Bob and the lackies at MLS HQ has me hoping this is an epic faceplant.
The team has stated today there is nothing to the Bradley rumour.
I am not so sure that is correct; strictly speaking. IMO, this matter is more nuanced and not settled yet. I get that it does not make much sense; SDFC seems to be skewing LatinX with hires. Still, Gustavo Mendoza of FOX Sports MX and Deportes reported the development citing his unnamed source/s. Conversely, local SD journo Mark Ziegler of Union-Tribune citied his unnamed ‘official’ source/s that the initial report was not accurate. Regardless, I do not believe the club has yet directly, unequivocally and formally denied the report; with either an announcement/press release or a quoted statement on the record from a named source within the organization. Maybe I am wrong. Certainly chatter on the socials of Chicago being the better fit for BBradley.
SKC parted ways with technical director and vp of personel Brian Bliss and now hired Mike Burns as sporting director...he was with the Revs for years and Revs fans in the comments are saying good luck because he was awful...they keep going in the wrong direction...instead of firing Vermes this is what they do
San Jose this week parted ways with head coach Gonzalez and named Ian Russell interim...he did well in usl

Anyone know what this is about?

Not sure yet. May involve the south-end, supporter groups/sections and those SSHs?
Oh I'd love if this was safe standing. Alot of supporters group types seem to oppose that, but I'd love it and it could do wonders for a pretty stagnant (imo, and apologies to all who do make genuine effort) atmosphere in the south end. Manning keeps promising it and then just going quiet.
That's my naive, optimistic take.
Corey Wray is now consulting with the Montreal Impact after leaving the Crew.
Man... that feels all sorts of wrong.
I know it was only 20+ minutes but Osorio looked great today. I thought he changed the game, providing the kind of calm, incesive passing Canada couldn't manage, and it nearly got Canada back into it. Hope he brings that form back to us, he looked like he belonged on a field with players or that caliber
