I hate Manning as much as the next person but to be fair when I came here we couldn't fill a stadium 1/3 smaller than the current one, there would be huge sections of empty seats on the east side stand.
When you do it with your shoulder, most leagues don't call that.
Even with some hands involved, it usually won't get a yellow, as long as it wasn't an out-and-out shove.
Seriously, MLS is the strictest fucking league on the planet, I think. Any leg contact in the box: automatic penalty, even if the defender had position. Any tackle from behind: automatically dangerous and "going through", even when the player hooks the ball cleanly around the attacker. Shoulder barges? Too hard, calling it anyway.
He's played in the Championship for most of his career. Short of a two-palmed shove, most of what he gets carded for here wouldn't even be called there. And if you're side-on to the man you're defending, they'll never call that shit. People get hip checked regularly there by guys holding ball position, refs never call it.
It's why watching Brendan Aaronson play for Leeds was so painful, because he was the exact opposite to Premier League norms: he's a good player, but every time he felt contact, he'd go down like he'd been shot, and they just weren't going to call any of it. After a while, even legit fouls on him weren't being called because the officials there don't usually reward play acting.
Long is carded too easily, generally. He received a card earlier this year for a late tackle where he didn't even make contact with the guy, they literally slid by each other.
USA is eliminated so Johnson should be able to get back to Toronto in time
from the pregame sound its likely that johnson plays,o'neill will be eased in so unlikely to start,kerr got hurt in the warmups in atlanta and theyre seeing if they can get him back for this one and herdman sees mabika as a good matchup for someone like mcguire

depends...if they all play well it could work out...rosted was very good vs red bulls but long messed it up with a terrible performance...they have 3 offensive dps muriel ojeda torres + mcguire and lodeiro who are very good offensively so if we dont defend well its likely 3+ goals conceded...and not all of them will start obviously so theyll have quality coming off the bench...petrasso is back with orlando after his loan to serie c where he was mostly a sub and pareja said they have to see what theyll do with him but for now hes training with them

theyre pretty much coming with a full squad -1...only brekalo is a starter for them...the other 2-3 missing are backups...theyve scored 8 goals in their last 3 games and are undefeated at BMO since May 2018
