Yeah, just saw that one. Sounds a better option than a journeyman 2nd and third division LB who’s never played in MLS.
I was a fan when he was here… and one of those head scratchers that he didn’t continue here.

So, IIUC… while MLS/TFC Free Agency ‘negotiations’ were permitted to begin this past Monday at 8AM!? MLS/TFC Free Agency ‘signings’ may start to take place and be officially announced at or after 1PM today!?
FWIW… a reasonable suggestion/compromise, if at all accurate…

According to a 13DEC23 article from The Nutmeg it means…
“I’m ready to move on from this situation that isn’t going to be explained to anyone,” stated Arena through Don Garber. “It’s been a long for me after my six week suspension for .. um…. you know…. SOMETHING lead to my resignation over whatever … you know…. WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE. However, It’s great to be back.”
With Arena cleared by the commissioner after being contrite for something to someone or something or possibly a group of people or possibly one person or possibly really anything, he was ready to throw his hat back into the coaching ring as soon as possible.
“I promise that what I did or didn’t do or whatever it is that you THINK I did I won’t do again or rather it wasn’t that big of a deal and the whole thing is really nothing,” stated Arena through Garber.
The Nutmeg News will have more on this as we attempt to find out that he did what he did or didn’t do or didn’t admit to but did do to someone who may or may not have not or did come forward for something they also did or didn’t do or didn’t say that they did which lead to something or nothing or everything all at once.

Nah....Nashville is not changing rosters much so they are just taking full advantage of the "a few years around means you are no longer an int" MLS rule change from a couple of years ago. They sold off 5 int roster spots for Garber $.

One of my favorite TFC targets looks to be off the market thanks to those big spending Rapids.

More Rapids news: they’ve acquired Nate Jones from Austin for 250,000 in GAM. Then sold and swapped draft positions to the tune of 200,000 in GAM….

I assume salary cap rules simply don't apply to Inter Miami. Or they have unlimited MAM (Messi Allocation Money).

Apparently done if you are a Romanoist…

LAG going for MacCarthy (LAFC clearing GK house it seems).
I suspect you are right; IMO, in more a rotational role at the very least. IIRC, the Spurs Captaincy was taken from him and he has been kept off the squad the entire season so far by ‘Big/Lucky’ Ange. So if not retirement, then this sort of change would be self-warranted. I hope you’re wrong… only in the sense that this move means Crepeau is available; that a first desire alternative destination for him would be TFC for past alluded to personal/family reasons. As a ‘lifestyle choice’, LAFC does make sense for Lloris from a living perspective of family experience, as well as, perhaps now, in turn, also offering an ability as support for his businesswomen wife’s niche apparel venture into a new marketplace.
Top draft pick Pape Mar Boye chooses USL C over a generation Adidas MLS deal.
He wants to go overseas and sees being sold directly from USL as an easier route, apparently.
Draft is going to die quickly if that keeps happening, as it probably should.
Also doesn't speak very highly of MLS development efforts or Next Pro if he sees stepping down a level as a better route than coming up inside an MLS club.
And why would he? USL C is generally a higher standard than Next Pro, so why spend three or four years waiting for a shot at a lower level when he can probably start right away for Phoenix, and go on to Europe in a year or two.
Anyone who thinks MLS' model is the long-term favourite to "win out" in the U.S. might be in for a shock in a few years.
LLoris in LAFC for ....$350k a year.
That is...cheap.
