note the time of this game
The funeral game - where we lay this sad sack of shit season to rest.
Thanks so much for everyone for putting these threads together through this though season. Let's just take this as a merciful release from the club we love that doesn't love us back.
Well now we know 1 guy who is going to start
And pretty sure there will be a Bradley to Oso pass off.
Ok no I was not thinking of this likely event when I chose that video
&
There is extra meaning now
Well I guess now I have a reason to go to the game
Treating this game like 2009-2013 - not expecting much at all and going to be outside on a nice day & watch a match into the twilight.
I'd give Bradley some time as a 10. Let him have some freedom and fun in his last game ever. And if by some miracle we win a penalty, let Michael take it.
What is the worst that could happen? A great moment for the fans?
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
Every person attending should get a #4 Shirt or Toque. I would love to see Jozy & Gio receive him or something like that. Do something that puts pride back in the stadium. Not hard to do, just takes planning and commitment.
Maybe we can get a surprise and it will be Manning's retirement as well.
Especially funny if Schlegel took that PK....
For those who don't get it. One of the craziest MLS games ever.

Bradley is really gifting the club with the timing of this, our last game of the worst season and MLSE gets to try to pass it off as a celebration. I really hope they do a real testimonial match at some point rather than just seeing MB off like this.
European style testimonials don't happen in North America (unless you count the "signed a contract for a day" thing)
As long as they do better then they did by Frings...
FWIW Herdman pregame presser

Notes
No captain picked yet - game on Saturday will tell a lot about who will be that.
His family is staying in Vancouver for now - as are the other coaches he brought with him.
10 days not enough to heal wounds but its 10 days to work both on field and in the back "to get a home win"
Brought all staff out to final training to watch.
Roster rebuild starts with a full day of discussions on Monday with "a better answer to how the roster will be built" on the first week of November
Orlando has nothing to play for in this match - 2nd is locked up.
Do not expect a strong squad from them but lots of guys getting minutes to ensure fitness.
I realize, given the circumstances of the season and his character, being a man of few, yet carefully chosen words, MB4 probably wants to just fading away without fanfare, quietly into the fall night. I hope any club recognition is a proper post-match event where an entire stadium of supporters stay and celebrate all he’s meant and done for TFC, instead of some sort of quick and simple pre-match acknowledgement. Hopefully it’s Totti-esque.
We all know it will be Oso with the arm band next year. They'll have Bradley pass it off to him when he gets subbed off in the 85th minute.
The pressers were interesting for the first time in months… Micheal being his impressive self in looking back (and forward), and Herdman, good to have his usual enthusiasm and seriousness here. He said he considers this a cup match and expects the players to show the same.
Promo for today speaks volumes. No Italians in the picture.
