MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Just looked at the FourFourTwo USA's list of top 50 USMNT players.
https://www.fourfourtwo.com/us/featu...ers-2017-usmnt
Morrow, Altidore, and Bradley are number 13, 3, and 2 respectively in their rankings. No other MLS team has that many quality players so high on the list (Seattle's are next closest 45, 41, 12, and 5).
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

^ Thanks for sharing. You can really see how well he reads situations in the video.

LAFC not so subtly trolling LA Galaxy

3 TFC players called into USMNT January camp: Bono, Morrow and Delgado!
Good for them, recognizes the massive club season each of them had. On the down side, USMNT is a complete mess right now. Getting called into this camp not predictive of future call ups.

In 2017 MLS teams spent $210m in player salaries. The MLS Salary Budget allowed for $85m.Teams spent an additional $80m through DP exemptions.Which means teams used $45m in TAM/GAM to buy down contracts

That guy also did some serous looking into how teams can grow their wage budgets if they don't spend on DP's - not that much it seems.

Looks like SKC has grabbed the latest version of Bez.
https://www.apnews.com/38258c9fb3ed429089ff1ad088e743dcShe worked for eight years as senior manager in player relations in the MLS league offices. Her job was to help teams manage rosters and budgets, while also approving player acquisitions and trades.
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
Also, I am amused that the MLS MVP award is named for an active Liga MX player.

Welcome to the club, Preki! 💚💙
Sounders FC hires former @MLS great, @ussoccer_mnt international Preki as Assistant Coach.
I hope their players are fans of training until they puke.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports
So new TFC Jersey is coming out about a week before the first game then? So Mid-February? When did the home jersey come out last year? In 2016 I think it came out days before the opener

I'm not sold on this.

BMO is taking over the naming rights of the training ground, supplanting KIA. It's now the BMO Training Ground, and BMO is the official partner of the TFC Academy as well.
It wasn't that long ago we were speculating BMO might have been pulling out of their sponsorship of TFC...
