Bob is lazy as eff.
The story I heard from LA people is that Diomande was a devout Muslim when he moved there but the stress of playing in MLS (which I now read as 'for Bob') led to addiction issues, which is part of why he left and moved to Saudi, to be away from drugs and alcohol.
It's within Bob's world view, I imagine, to feel somewhat responsible for that. He's probably going to give him as many chance as his employers will allow.
At the same time, he's clearly crocked and it would be insane for them to sign him; but he didn't exactly make sound decisions here, either.
Yup, but pretty human. I've done similar when I was hiring, giving a shot to a guy I knew both didn't deserve it and wasn't ready for it.
It went predictably badly but I felt compelled to try, as he'd spend quite a lot of time in prison and wasn't going to get another chance elsewhere.
Brandon Vaszquez and Rayados de Monterrey V Inter Miami tonight,
Monterrey have 23 goals through 13 games this year. They're a GOOD offence. Miami is missing Krsytsov, Friere, Redondo, possibly also Messi.
I think he'll play tonight but I also think there's a good chance their CCC Campaign isn't going to end as predicted (most of the experts have been saying their is their main focus this season).
Given their success with Gomis, I suggested they look at this guy:

It probably won't go anywhere, but given that he's available free, and given his pedigree, this guy would probably be a better striker than three out of four of what we've got, even though he's got no first team experience. Do you know what his story is and why he asked Norwich for his release in November? I suspect from his youth record he figured he'd land a League One or better job, and it just didnt' come.
He was under contract until 2025 according to an official release from Norwich but they granted his request to go, and he hasn't signed anywhere since.
I know he's a youth player, but he's 21 now and has a prolific history at the youth level. He only made one appearance, in an exhibition, for Norwich and scored a cracker, apparently.
