Anyways, I mentioned a few pages back how I think the PR side of this would play out and needless to say if you're expecting either side to clarify things, I think you will be waiting a long time. Neither side of this came out looking clean and they will probably agree on how to manage this going forward...meaning with as little information as possible. Because any new information will probably begin a new shitstorm, which benefits neither side at this point.
That's the world of PR. Our curiosity as fans really does take a backseat here.
My guess is that whever news comes out next, it will be a final decision on DeRo's status whatever that may be. With TFC, traded or released. A month ago I would have been certain a trade was for sure, but with the new management, I am thinking they may decide to keep him on. Whether that means a new contract or not, I don't know.
Scuttlebutt is that there will be a TFC media day on January 26th. Club is not confirming it just yet though. Will keep you all posted.
